The number of emotional support animals on college campuses is increasing and BITs need to understand the basic laws that gu ide the decisions being made about ESAs\, as well as how BITs might be inv olved in offering additional support to students with disabilities. In thi s session we will cover the differences between ESAs/service animals/pets and discuss how campuses should be addressing questions like\, &ldquo\;Wha t if an ESA needs an ESA?&rdquo\; Join the presenters for this presentatio n and interactive discussion about animals on campus.

NABITA is a mission-based association that holds deeply our values of equity on the basis of sex\, gender\, inclusion\, safety\, and belongingness for all. Wi th the wave of anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation in many states\, NABITA\, along w ith its sister association\, ATIXA\, would like to pull together the commu nity to discuss the current legislation and its implications for today&rsq uo\;s youth. Drawing on many of the sentiments covered in our recent assoc iation statements\, the presenters will cover a breadth of topics ranging from legislative overview\, mental health\, and other social justice issue s.
