 </p>\n<p>You know how to conduct a violence and threat risk assessment\, n
 ow learn how to use the information from the assessment to manage the thre
 at and risk over time.<br />\n<br />\nFrom managing affective\, emotionall
 y driven violence to responding to potential targeted or predatory violenc
 e\, the presenters will discuss strategies for mitigating risk and increas
 ing safety related to individuals who remain at the institution with a sig
 nificant risk profile.<br />\n<br />\nRelying on case studies\, this cours
 e will provide participants with an in depth understanding of how to engag
 e with a student following a violence risk assessment to reduce their risk
 \, increase their protective factors\, and enhance their ability to remain
  a safe member of the campus community. Presenters will discussion non-cli
 nical interventions such as working with a case manager\, employing progre
 ssive sanctions through the conduct process\, and engaging student affairs
  professionals as support resources\, as well as clinical strategies such 
 as connecting the student with clinical treatment providers.<br />\n<em><b
