Relying on case studies\, this one-day course will provide participant s with an in-depth understanding of how to engage with an individual durin g and following a Non-Clinical Assessment of Suicide (NAS). Participants w ill develop skills to reduce risk\, increase protective factors\, and enha nce the individual&rsquo\;s ability to remain a safe. Following a brief re view of the NAS and appropriate interventions following an assessment of r isk\, participants will practice conducting an NAS interview by engaging i n role-play scenarios and receiving feedback on their interview skills. Pa rticipants should have completed the Non-Clinical Assessment of Suicide co urse and be familiar with the assessment tool prior to enrolling in this a dvanced course.
