During the 2024-2025 school year\, all e lementary schools in Georgia will be responsible for identifying K-3r d grade students who have characteristics of dyslexia and providing appropriate instruction and interventions for those students. \; Fortu nately\, that timeline gives school districts time to develop and implemen t highly effective practices and procedures.
\nIf systems are going to accurat ely serve students who have characteristics of dyslexia\, we must start wi th Tier 1\, core instruction and then build appropriate instruction and interventions for students who struggle with readi ng. \; There must be on-going\, effective collaboration between and training for central office personnel\, school administrat ors and leaders\, general education teachers\, EIP teachers\, and special education teachers. \; \;

Due to contract ed commitments for facilities\, meals/snacks\, and speakers\, cancellation s are subject to a $50.00 fee up to one week/seven days before the opening day of the event. After that\, the full fee will be charged.
