The 20^th Annual high ly acclaimed SSTAGE Promising Practices Conference will feature an opening session\, as well as two breakout sessions\, with our 2027 Georgi a Teacher of the Year\, Charm Mapp. 202 7 TOTY Mapp will share her perspective on the importance of public educati on and equip educators to engage their students in formative and summative assessments to enhance their critical and creative thinking skills. Parti cipants will also be able to easily implement &ldquo\;math talks&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;five-minute challenges&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;one-pagers&rdquo\;\, &ld quo\;create the question&rdquo\;\, and &ldquo\;rank the errors&rdquo\; wit h their students to foster a sense of collaboration and a love for learnin g.

Concurrent conference sessions will focus on the most pro mising practices for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)\, Response to Intervention (RtI)\, Student Support Teams (SST)\, Science of Reading\, Le arning\, and Instruction\, Tier 1 Instruction\, and Whole Child Supports\, Mental and Physical Health\, &\; Safety featuring elementary\, middle\ , and high schools along with districts from around the state implementing highly effective practices with successful outcomes\, and a wide array of special interest topics that are informative and practical from expert ed ucators including several from GaDOE/ GaMTSS.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: \;To cancel participation for an event\, SSTAGE must receive written not ice (email jwhitehead@gael.org) seven calendar days prior to the scheduled workshop/conference. An administrative fee of $100.00 will be charged for cancellations. Requests for a refund must be received in writing at least seven calendar days prior to the start of the conference and must be addr essed to jwhitehead@gael.org. SSTAGE encourages participants to find a sub stitute. Replacements will be welcome\, and there will be no charge to tra nsfer a registration to a colleague for the event. Advance notice of repla cements is preferred. If an individual registers and does not attend the e vent\, he/she will be marked as a "no show" and the full conference fees s hall apply. Registrants are responsible for payment. Refunds will not be m ade for &ldquo\;no shows&rdquo\;. Refunds and reimbursements will not be t ransferable to other workshops or conferences. In the event of inclement w eather which may impede or prevent conference attendance\, or which may gi ve cause to fully cancel the conference\, a credit will be provided to the \;registrant or school/system. Refunds wil l not be made \;for \;conference cancelations do to COVID-19\, sev ere weather or weather \;events \;which may cause the conference t o \;cancel.
