1. \;What Every Leader Needs to Know About Succession Pl anning presented by Mike Moody. \; Can the people who work in y our organization answer this question\, &ldquo\;What is the plan for repla cing members of our department or office when someone retires\, resigns\, or leaves for other reasons?&rdquo\; Succession planning is the systematic process of recognizing and creating future leaders who are able to take t he position of those who leave. It is a process that ensures an organizati on is prepared for the future. Succession planning is a major part of the work of Human Resources. This session is designed to present an opportunit y for participants to consider a succession plan to prepare for future nee ds through looking at the process and basic tenants of succession planning .

2. \; Practical Certification Tips for HR Leaders presente d by Kelli Young\, GaPSC Certification Division. \; \;In this session\, non-traditional pathways to certification\, guidance on how to navigate certification rules and apply them to a variety of certification issues and situations will be discussed. \; Participants will leave wi th a knowledge of certification basics and strategies for certifying uncer tified teachers and tips for special situations related to teacher certifi cation. \;

3. \; Personnel Files presented by D r. Kim McDermon\, Chief HR Officer\, Rockdale County Schools. \; This session will walk you through what should and what should not be kept in a personnel file and will give you insight into steps to take to change fro m file folders to a digital format folder. \; \; \;
