2024 SSTAGE Promising P ractices Conference \;

The 17^th Annual highly acclaimed SSTAGE Pro mising Practices Conference will feature an opening GaDOE update from Just in D. Hill\, Ed.S.\, Associate Superintendent Whole Child Supports &\; Strategic Partnerships. Dr. Gene Kerns will provide Science of Reading ses sions for both elementary and secondary audiences. Dr. Roberta Scott will share how to embed SEL skills into literacy instruction in a session entit led\, &ldquo\;If You&rsquo\;re Happy and You Know It\, Read a Book!&rdquo\ ; Concurrent conference sessions will focus on the most promising practice s for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)\, Response to Intervention (R tI)\, Student Support Teams (SST)\, and Whole Child Supports featuring ele mentary\, middle\, and high schools along with districts from around the s tate implementing highly effective practices with successful outcomes\, an d a wide array of special interest topics that are informative and practic al from expert educators including several from GaDOE/GaTSS.

To cancel \;part icipation for an event\, SSTAGE must receive written notice (email jwhitehead@gael.org) seven \;calendar days prior to the scheduled workshop/conference. \; \;An administrative \;fee \;of $2 5.00 \;will be \;charged \;for cancellations. \; \;Req uests for a refund \;must be received in writing at \;least seven& nbsp\;calendar days prior to the start of the conference \;and must be addressed to jwhitehead@gael.org. SSTAGE encourages \;participants to \;find a substi tute. Replacements will be welcome\, and \;there will be no charge to transfer a registration to a colleague for the event. \; Advance notic e of replacements is preferred. \; \;If an individual registers and does not attend t he event\, he/she will be marked \;as a "no show" and the full confere nce fees shall apply. Registrants are responsible for payment. Refunds will not be made for &ldquo\;no shows&rdquo\;. \; Re funds and reimbursements will not be transferable to other workshops or co nferences. \;In the event of inclement weather which may impede or pr event conference attendance\, or which may give cause to fully cancel the conference\, a credit will be provided to the registrant or school/system. Refunds will not be ma de for conference cancellations due to COVID-19\, severe weather or weathe r events which may cause the conference to cancel.
