The Georgia Association of P ersonnel Administrators is pleased to announce the 2017 < strong>Fall Conference on November 13-15\, 2017 at the King and P rince Resort. \;The Theme of the conference is Sustaining Continuous Growth in a Culture of Constant Change. \; \;A tentative agenda will be posted on our GASPA websit e around the middle of September. (http://gaspanet.org) \; \;You are in for a treat with Dr< /strong>. Ed Nichols\, our key note speaker. \; E d Nichols has served as a teac her\, assistant principal\, principal\, assistant superintendent\, and sup erintendent\, retiring from the Decatur City Schools in Decatur\, Alabama. \; He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and earned his doc torate from the University of Alabama. His undergraduate and master&rsquo\ ;s degree are in music. \; Ed has held just about every community lead ership position you can imagine and has been president and executive direc tor of the Alabama Association of School Personnel Administrators and on t he executive board of CLAS\, the Alabama version of GAEL \;

Phil Hartley will be presenting a legal Issues update. \; The Professional Standards Commission will provide a certification update. Sessions are planned to discuss district certification programs\, new PL requiremen ts\, evaluations for non TKES/LKES positions\, conducting investigations\, and what all HR people need to know about finance. \; ~~\; \; \;~~

The Georgia Educational Leadership Faculty Association (GELFA) will again be joining us on Monday as we continue to strengthen our partne rships with higher education. \;

Hotel reservations can be made on line at the King and Prince. \;Cutoff date when rooms are released to the genera l public is Thursday\, October 12\, 2017.

Standard r oom rate is $125 Resort view rate is $140\, Partial ocean view rate is $15 0\, and Oceanfront rate is $160. Two bedroom/two bath private ocean villas with living room and kitchen areas provide an option for two individuals to share the unit at a cost of $205 each. There is a limited number of rooms i n each category so reserve rooms early.
