About the Mini-Event: \;

Many sch ools and districts have already set their plans in place for Summer Learni ng Opportunities. This SSTAGE mini event will provide \;you with \ ;practical approaches to maximize your outcomes. \;Wayne Callender's keynote will address strategies to assist stu dents who have been receiving \;interventions during the school year\, as well as those who \;were not able to master Tier 1 standards durin g the year due to COVID-19 or other unforeseen circumstances. Mr. Callende r's keynote will be pre-recorded\, but the audience will have opportunitie s to engage with each other around the content during the session. \;

F ollowing the keynote address\, three spotlight districts \;will share how they plan to use the summer opportunity to provide innovative practice s to address unfinished \;academic\, behavioral\, and social/emotional \;learning to prepare students for a successful 2022-2023 school year . \; The event will end with a live Q &\; A with the spotlight dist ricts. \;

\nWayne Callender is an author and national RTI Consu ltant who has worked at the state\, district\, and building levels improvi ng educational outcomes. Wayne currently trains and advises educators acro ss the country in the implementation of systems for school improvement\, b oth on-site and through nationwide seminars. In addition to being featured as a keynote speaker at over a dozen state and national conferences. Wayn e has authored numerous articles\, chapters\, and training books on the im plementation of a School-Wide Approach to RTI and improved instructional p ractices. \;\n

Cancellation Policy:

To cancel \;participation for an event\, SSTAGE must receive written notice (em ail jwhitehead@gael.org) seven \;calenda r days prior to the scheduled workshop/conference. \; \;An adminis trative \;fee \;of $25.00 \;will be \;charged \;for ca ncellations. \; \;Requests for a refund \;must be received in writing at \;least seven \;calendar days prior to the start of the conference \;and must be addressed to jwhitehead@gael.org . SSTAGE encourages \;participants to \;find a substitute. Replacements will be welcome\, and \;there will be no charge to trans fer a registration to a colleague for the event. \; Advance notice of replacements is preferred. \; \;If an individual registers and does not attend the event\, he/she will be marked \;as a "no show" and the full conference fees shall app ly. Registrants are responsible for payment. Refunds will not be made for &ldquo\;no shows&rdquo\;. \; Refunds and reimburs ements will not be transferable to other workshops or conferences. \; In the event of inclement weather which may impede or prevent conference a ttendance\, or which may give cause to fully cancel the conference\, a cre dit will be provided to the registrant or school/system. Refunds will not be made for conference cancellations due to COVID-19\, severe weather or weather events which may cause the conference to cancel.
