 enjoy spending time with <strong>J. Cornelius George</strong>\, our keynot
 e speaker\, as he presents<strong> Sine Metu&rsquo\;: Lead\, Teach\, Creat
 e\, Learn &amp\; Laugh.</strong>&nbsp\; Sine Metu&rsquo\; is Latin for &ld
 quo\;Without Fear&rdquo\;.&nbsp\; What is preventing you from being the le
 ader that you see in the mirror\, that person you imagine you are inside y
 our head? This presentation will help you discover laughter in a whole new
  way.&nbsp\; You will leave energized and inspired to start being the crea
 tive leader you desire to be.&nbsp\; Cornelius is an educator\, comedian\,
  and radio personality.&nbsp\; He uses his many talents to empower and ins
 pire people to find the humor and greatness that is within.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<

 will be presenting an always-informative legal issues update.&nbsp\; <stro
 ng>The Professional Standards Commission</strong> will provide important c
 ertification updates.&nbsp\; <strong>Dr. Buster Evans\,</strong> Executive
  Director of Teacher Retirement Systems (TRS)\, will keep us current on tr
 ends and changes in TRS.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;GASPA&rsquo\;s Legislative Liaison\
 , <strong>Clark Maggart</strong>\, will give a Legislative Update.&nbsp\; 
 From the GaDOE\, <strong>Cindy Saxon </strong>and a state team will presen
 t an initiative\, Advancing Inclusive Principal Leadership.&nbsp\; <strong
 >Dr. Gwendolyn Benson\,</strong> Associate Dean\, Georgia State University
  and deans from Columbus State and Albany State will present on The Teache
 r Residency Model\, an option for preparing teachers applying all the rese
 arch that supports preparing exceptional teachers who will not only be eff
 ective but will be retained over time.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</span></p>\n<p style=
 "text-align: left\;"><span style="text-align: left\; font-size: 14px\; fon
 t-family: georgia\;"><strong>Kelly Coash-Johnson</strong>\, Executive Dire
 ctor of AASPA\, will&nbsp\; &nbsp\;share what AASPA has been tracking with
  regards to the national teacher shortage. Learn what is going on in some 
 key states good and bad. Kelly will share some key strategies districts an
 d K12 HR teams can use to improve their recruitment and retention. Learn h
 ow to develop your own HR vision statement and utilize it best to reach a 
 more diverse audience. Kelly will provide important information and tips f
 or successful recruiting in her presentation\, National Update on the Teac
 her Shortage and Vision Planning for the Future.&nbsp\; </span><span style
