 pandemic and recommendations from the Governor of Oregon\, OHCA is prepari
 ng to deliver the content of this course to registrants virtually (online)
 . As the class date approaches\, OHCA will provide registrants with detail
 s for participating in this course virtually.\n<p><br />\n</p>\nThis cours
 e is an 18-hour training program. Even though this program is being held v
 irtually\, please plan to spend 18-20 hours completing this program\, just
  as you would if you attended this program in person. Each day will consis
 t of:<br />\n<ul>\n    <li>9:00 a.m. &ndash\; 2:00 p.m.:&nbsp\; Live webin
 ar instruction with daily instructor</li>\n    <li><span style="white-spac
 e: pre\;">	</span>A break for lunch will be scheduled to occur during this
  time.&nbsp\;</li>\n    <li>2:00 p.m. &ndash\; 3:30 p.m.:&nbsp\; Recommend
 ed time for pre-reading\, online learning modules\; you may start your rea
 ding and the online learning modules at any time before or during the prog
 ram</li>\n</ul>\n<div><br />\n</div>\nThis three-day intensive orientation
  to the role of the nurse in community-based care will benefit both new an
 d experienced assisted living and residential care nurses. Participants wi
 ll not only learn the foundations and basic principles of community-based 
 care nursing in ALF/RCF but also how to operationalize the critical roles 
 and responsibilities of a community-based care nurse. Health service direc
 tors will understand the scope of the settings and practice\, health servi
 ce related regulations including medication administration and regulatory 
 focuses\, delegation\, service planning and RN oversight/assessment of res
 idents&rsquo\; health care needs\, quality improvement systems and documen
 tation. Learn how to implement proven systems that support efficient\, qua
 lity health care services that will help you stay on top of your health se
 rvices program. Participants will be provided with in-depth study and will
  have opportunities for applied application of processes and tools. Learn 
 how to prioritize your responsibilities\, make the most of your time and s
 trengthen the health services program in your community. Valuable resource
 s and tools will be included in the program.<br />\n<p>\n<br />\n<strong>R
 ole of the RN Additional Resource Materials<br />\n<br />\n</strong>Severa
 l public resources will be referenced throughout the course including the 
 assisted living/residential care OARs and other related resources which ar
 e not included in your class training manual. These resources are availabl
 e complimentary online for public viewing. In each Role of the RN class\, 
 OHCA will provide a limited number of printouts of these resources for par
 ticipants to share and review as needed throughout the class.<br />\n<br /
