\n\nThis two-day training provides a foundation for facilitating mutual- help grief support groups for those who have lost a loved one to suicide o r substance-use death. The program will discuss characteristics of this un ique type of loss\, basic support-group facilitation and instruction to de velop the skills helpful in addressing the needs of the bereaved in a supp ort group. While this program does not cover clinical assessment or treatm ent\, mental health professionals are welcome to attend. The training will use group discussion\, interactive presentation and skill-building practi ce groups that employ role-playing to prepare the facilitators.\n
