 s are at a greater risk for compassion fatigue and burnout because of the 
 required duties of their job. They are directly exposed to trauma\, witnes
 s the trauma as it occurs to someone else\, and learn that the trauma occu
 rred to a friend or community member. Additionally\, funeral directors exp
 erience repeated exposure to graphic details of the trauma through routine
  duties\, bereavement counseling and life review with the deceased&rsquo\;
 s family and friends. These daily events contribute to compassion fatigue\
 , burnout\, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)\, and Secondary Traumati
 c Stress Disorder (STSD).&nbsp\;</span></p>\n<p><span style="font-family: 
 verdana\;">Through interactive participation\, case study\, and role-playi
 ng\, this one-hour power point presentation will define key elements of co
 mpassion fatigue\, examine and explore individual risk factors\, provide t
