rging Technology: Latest anti-reflux endoscopic procedures and surgeries</
strong>\n
Review the description below to see if this webinar is right f
or you:
\n
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most
common clinical disorders observed in developed countries. In the US\, nea
rly 20% of the adult population experiences typical GERD symptoms such as
heartburn or regurgitation at least once a week. Despite the traditional m
edical treatment 30-40% does not respond to standard dose of PPIs and 50-7
0% of patients relapse with symptoms after cessation of treatment. Medical
therapy also appears to have limited effectiveness in 30-40% of GERD pati
ents with atypical laryngopharyngeal reflux symptoms. Anti-reflux surgerie
s are reserved for these types of patients and proven to be preventing bot
h acid and non-acid reflux. The FDA approved\, Transoral Incisionless Fund
oplication (TIF) and Medigus endoscopic stapler device are the currently a
vailable endoscopic procedures. Some of the traditional surgical fundoplic
ation\, and the latest Laproscopic Linx procedure will be discussed in det
ail. After attending this webinar\, all levels of gastroenterology nurses
will gain knowledge on current emerging technology in the endoscopic and s
urgical treatment approach to GERD.\n
\n
Scroll down on the page and
