 ="color: #000000\;">This 40 hour tested course is designed to provide the 
 new fire investigator with the prerequisite knowledge necessary to properl
 y determine the origin and cause of a fire and to refresh the experienced 
 fire investigator with his/her current knowledge base as it relates to the
  scientific investigation of a fire scene. This course provides the basis 
 for the IAAI Fire Investigation Technician designation.</span></p>\n<p><st

  <li><em>The Scientific Method for Fire and Explosion Investigation&nbsp\;

 >\n        <li>Prerequisites are required as supporting knowledge for the

 igators (NSWAFI) is pleased to offer the 40-hour IAAI Fundamentals of Fire
  Investigation Course in Australia. This five-day program includes a full-
 day practical examination followed by an online assessment\, with a certif
 icate issued upon successful completion.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf0">
 The course is designed to provide new fire investigators with the foundati
 onal knowledge required to competently determine origin and cause\, and se
 rves as the prerequisite program for the IAAI Fire Investigation Technicia
 n (IAAI-FIT) designation. It also provides experienced fire investigators 
 with an opportunity to refresh\, reinforce\, and update their existing kno
 wledge in relation to the scientific principles of fire scenes.</span></p>
