 e Expert Witness Courtroom Testimony course walks you through what it&rsqu
 o\;s like to prepare for and testify as an expert witness in a real case. 
 During the class\, you will spend time with actual attorneys giving your d
 eposition\, preparing for your testimony\, as well as spending the day in 
 a real courtroom environment where you will take the stand for direct and 
 cross-examination.</div>\n<div>The classroom portion includes Legal System
  Overview\; Court Rules and Case Law\; Qualifying as an Expert and Standin
 g by Your Curriculum Vitae\; and How to Write and Present Your Opinion Ana
 lysis.</div>\n<div><br />\n</div>\n<div>The court preparation portion incl
 udes The Practical Exercise\; Court Exhibits: How to Present and what shou
 ld be Included\; Presentation of Evidence: Best Practices\; and Working wi
 th an Attorney.</div>\n<div>This course meets the testimony requirement fo
 r IAAI-CFI&reg\; (IAAI-Certified Fire Investigator) application.</div>\n<d
 iv><br />\n</div>\n</div>\n<div><br />\n</div>\n<div><strong>Prerequisites
 :</strong></div>\n<div>Work Experience: A minimum of four years&rsquo\; fu
 ll-time or five years&rsquo\; part-time general experience in the fire inv
 estigation industry. Specific Work Experience: A minimum of seven fire sce
 nes that you were the lead Origin &amp\; Cause Investigator.</div>\n<div>A
 ble to meet all the requirements of the IAAI-CFI&reg\; application except 
 for the expert witness testimony requirement.</div>\n<div><br />\n</div>\n
 <div>The course requires more than 40 hours of preliminary casework\, for 
 which you have six weeks to prepare and submit. Students will be required 
 to update (or create) their Curriculum Vitae (CV)\, develop an opinion ana
 lysis and court testimony plan\, and create two courtroom exhibits.</div>\
