 nician (ECT) program is designed to verify an applicant's fundamental know
 ledge and practical skills in evidence collection at fire scenes. The eval
 uation is based on established professional qualification standards and in
 dustry best practices. This program provides the foundation for assessing 
 an individual's competency in performing specific evidence collection task
 s in accordance with accepted practices.<br />\n<br />\nApplicants must me
 et eligibility requirements in experience\, education\, and training\, and
  successfully complete a comprehensive practical examination.<br />\nProgr

 tes will be awarded ECT certification.<br />\nRenewal is required every fi
 ve years.<br />\n<br />\nApplication &amp\; Registration<br />\n<br />\nAp
 plicants for this professional designation shall submit reference letters 
 from their employers confirming an understanding of core job performance r
 equirements (JPRs) outlined in established professional qualifications sta
 ndards and standard industry practices related to evidence collection demo
 nstrated at fire scenes in the preceding 18 months.<br />\n<br />\nRegistr

 cy</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received 31 days or more
  prior to the course start date are eligible for a full refund of the regi
 stration fee.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received with
 in 30 days of the course start date are non-refundable.</span></p>\n<p><sp
 an class="cf1">Registrants who are unable to attend may\, at the discretio
 n of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)\, substit
 ute another eligible individual from the same organization\, provided writ
 ten notice is received prior to the course start date.</span></p>\n<p><spa
 n class="cf1">Failure to attend a course without prior written cancellatio
 n (no-shows) will not be eligible for a refund.</span></p>\n<p><strong>\n<
 /strong></p>\n<p><strong>All IAAI courses are subject to cancellation or p
 ostponement at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Registered partic
 ipants will be notified as soon as possible.</strong><br />\n<br />\n<stro
