 50\;"></span></strong></p>\n<p>The Evidence Collection Technician program 
 is designed to verify an applicant's fundamental knowledge as measured aga
 inst core job performance requirements of established professional qualifi
 cations\, standards and standard industry practices related to evidence co
 llection on fire scenes. This measurement is not all inclusive of the inco
 rporated professional standards sited\, but lays the foundation for measur
 ing the holder's fundamental ability to perform specific evidence collecti
 on tasks related to fire scene investigation at an acceptable level as mea
 sured against published acceptable practices.<br />\nThe applicant must pr
 ovide documentation of meeting minimum requirements including experience\,
  training\, and education. Upon approval they must successfully pass a com
 prehensive practicum examination.</p>\n<p><strong>\nRequirements/Experienc
 e:</strong>\nA minimum of 18 months of general experience in a fire invest
 igation related industry.\nA minimum of 12 items of forensic evidence coll
 ected. The applicant is responsible for submitting general supporting docu
 ments that include the location of the examination\, the date of the exami
 nation\, and the particular type(s) of evidence collected.\n<strong><br />
 \n</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Training / Education:</strong>\nMinimum of 29

 tigator (3 hours)\nThe Scientific Method for Fire and Explosion Investigat
 ion (3 hours)\nEvidence Examination: What Happens at the Lab (4 hours)\nIn
 troduction to Evidence (4 hours)\nNFPA 1033 and Your Career (2 hours)\nPhy
 sical Evidence at the&nbsp\;Fire Scene (4 hours)\nThe Practical Applicatio
 n of the Relationship Between NFPA 1033 and NFPA 921 (2 hours)</em>\nPre-R
 equisites are required as supporting knowledge for the class and the exami
 nation.&nbsp\; Materials within the class and examination will reference a
 ll Pre-Requisites.\n<strong><br />\n</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Comprehensiv
 e Practical Examination:</strong>\nApplicants must pass all critical eleme
 nts and achieve a minimum score of 70% on each of the 10 components of the
  practical testing to be determined to have successfully challenged the ex
 am.\nExamination Period: Four Hours\nRenewal every three years.</p>\n<p>Re

 lass="cf0"><strong>Cancellation and Refund Policy</strong></span></p>\n<p>
 <span class="cf1">Cancellations received 31 days or more prior to the cour
 se start date are eligible for a full refund of the registration fee.</spa
 n></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received within 30 days of the 
 course start date are non-refundable.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Reg
 istrants who are unable to attend may\, at the discretion of the Internati
 onal Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)\, substitute another eligib
 le individual from the same organization\, provided written notice is rece
 ived prior to the course start date.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Fail
 ure to attend a course without prior written cancellation (no-shows) will 
 not be eligible for a refund.</span></p>\n<span class="cf0"><em><strong>Al
 l IAAI courses are subject to cancellation or postponement at any time due
  to unforeseen circumstances. Registered participants will be notified as 
 soon as possible.</strong></em></span>\n<p><strong><em><br />\n<span class
 ="cf0">Notice</span><span class="cf1">: Photos and testimonials collected
