 ce Collection Technician (ECT) program is designed to verify an applicant'
 s fundamental knowledge and practical skills in evidence collection at fir
 e scenes. The evaluation is based on established professional qualificatio
 n standards and industry best practices. This program provides the foundat
 ion for assessing an individual's competency in performing specific eviden
 ce collection tasks in accordance with accepted practices.<br />\n<br />\n
 Applicants must meet eligibility requirements in experience\, education\, 
 and training\, and successfully complete a comprehensive practical examina

 Successful candidates will be awarded ECT certification.<br />\nRenewal is
  required every five years.<br />\n<br />\nApplication &amp\; Registration
 <br />\n<br />\nApplicants for this professional designation shall submit 
 reference letters from their employers confirming an understanding of core
  job performance requirements (JPRs) outlined in established professional 
 qualifications standards and standard industry practices related to eviden
 ce collection demonstrated at fire scenes in the preceding 18 months.<br /

 on and Refund Policy</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations receiv
 ed 31 days or more prior to the course start date are eligible for a full 
 refund of the registration fee.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellat
 ions received within 30 days of the course start date are non-refundable.<
 /span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Registrants who are unable to attend may\
 , at the discretion of the International Association of Arson Investigator
 s (IAAI)\, substitute another eligible individual from the same organizati
 on\, provided written notice is received prior to the course start date.</
 span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Failure to attend a course without prior w
 ritten cancellation (no-shows) will not be eligible for a refund.</span></
 p>\n<p><strong>\n</strong></p>\n<p><strong>All IAAI courses are subject to
  cancellation or postponement at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.
