 fire investigations can often benefit from the involvement of separate exp
 erts with backgrounds in origin and cause investigation and electrical eng
 ineering from the outset of an engagement.&nbsp\; Oftentimes\, an expert i
 n origin and cause determination performs a scene inspection to locate the
  area or areas of a fire&rsquo\;s origin and collects relevant artifacts t
 hat may provide insight into its cause for later analysis by an electrical
  engineer.&nbsp\; An on-site electrical engineering expert can provide ele
 ctrical data critical in developing working hypotheses and guide the ongoi
 ng scene processing and data collection.&nbsp\; The electrical engineering
  expert can continue to provide background information\, calculations\, an
