\nThrough a combinati on of lecture and practical discussion\, students will explore common type s of physical evidence encountered during fire investigations\, learn stra tegies to minimize contamination or loss\, and understand documentation pr actices that support continuity and accuracy in casework. Emphasis is plac ed on reinforcing professional standards that can be applied across a vari ety of investigative environments. \;

\nThis course is de signed for fire investigators\, law enforcement personnel\, and other prof essionals who may be responsible for handling evidence in the field. It is also an excellent preparatory step for those intending to pursue the IAAI Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) Practicum. \;\n
