 Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) program is designed to verify an appl
 icant's fundamental knowledge and practical skills in evidence collection 
 at fire scenes. The evaluation is based on established professional qualif
 ication standards and industry best practices. This program provides the f
 oundation for assessing an individual's competency in performing specific 
 evidence collection tasks in accordance with accepted practices.<br />\n<b
 r />\nApplicants must meet eligibility requirements in experience\, educat
 ion\, and training\, and successfully complete a comprehensive practical e

 <p>\n<br />\nTotal Hours Must Reach a Minimum of 29 Hours.<br />\nNote: Co
 mpletion of these modules is a prerequisite. Course and exam content will 
 reference all listed materials.<br />\n<br />\nComprehensive Practical Exa
 mination<br />\n- Examination Duration: 4 Hours<br />\n- Structure: 10 pra
 ctical components<br />\n- Passing Requirements:<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; Al
 l critical elements must be passed<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; Minimum 70% scor
 e required on each component<br />\n<br />\nCertification &amp\; Renewal<b
 r />\nSuccessful candidates will be awarded ECT certification.<br />\nRene
 wal is required every five years.<br />\n<br />\nApplication &amp\; Regist
 ration<br />\n<br />\nApplicants for this professional designation shall s
 ubmit reference letters from their employers confirming an understanding o
 f core job performance requirements (JPRs) outlined in established profess
 ional qualifications standards and standard industry practices related to 
 evidence collection demonstrated at fire scenes in the preceding 18 months
 .<br />\n<br />\nRegistration Fee:<br />\n- IAAI Members: $200<br />\n- No
 n-Members: $200</p>\n<p style="font-weight: bold\;"><span class="cf0">Canc
 ellation and Refund Policy</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations 
 received 31 days or more prior to the course start date are eligible for a
  full refund of the registration fee.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Can
 cellations received within 30 days of the course start date are non-refund
 able.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Registrants who are unable to atten
 d may\, at the discretion of the International Association of Arson Invest
 igators (IAAI)\, substitute another eligible individual from the same orga
 nization\, provided written notice is received prior to the course start d
 ate.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Failure to attend a course without p
 rior written cancellation (no-shows) will not be eligible for a refund.</s

 ect to cancellation or postponement at any time due to unforeseen circumst
 ances. Registered participants will be notified as soon as possible.</stro
