 div>\n<p>\nProgram Overview<br />\n<br />\nThe Evidence Collection Technic
 ian (ECT) program is designed to verify an applicant's fundamental knowled
 ge and practical skills in evidence collection at fire scenes. The evaluat
 ion is based on established professional qualification standards and indus
 try best practices. This program provides the foundation for assessing an 
 individual's competency in performing specific evidence collection tasks i
 n accordance with accepted practices.<br />\n<br />\nApplicants must meet 
 eligibility requirements in experience\, education\, and training\, and su
 ccessfully complete a comprehensive practical examination.<br />\nProgram

 Passing Requirements:<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; All critical elements must be
  passed<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; Minimum 70% score required on each componen
 t<br />\n<br />\nCertification &amp\; Renewal<br />\nSuccessful candidates
  will be awarded ECT certification.<br />\nRenewal is required every five 
 years.<br />\n<br />\nApplication &amp\; Registration<br />\n<br />\nAppli
 cants for this professional designation shall submit reference letters fro
 m their employers confirming an understanding of core job performance requ
 irements (JPRs) outlined in established professional qualifications standa
 rds and standard industry practices related to evidence collection demonst
 rated at fire scenes in the preceding 18 months.<br />\n<br />\nRegistrati

 /span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received 31 days or more pr
 ior to the course start date are eligible for a full refund of the registr
 ation fee.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received within 
 30 days of the course start date are non-refundable.</span></p>\n<p><span 
 class="cf1">Registrants who are unable to attend may\, at the discretion o
 f the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)\, substitute
  another eligible individual from the same organization\, provided written
  notice is received prior to the course start date.</span></p>\n<p><span c
 lass="cf1">Failure to attend a course without prior written cancellation (
 no-shows) will not be eligible for a refund.</span></p>\n<p><strong>\n</st
 rong></p>\n<p><strong>All IAAI courses are subject to cancellation or post
 ponement at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Registered participa
 nts will be notified as soon as possible.</strong><br />\n<br />\n<strong>
