 n<div><br />\n</div>\n<p>\nProgram Overview<br />\n<br />\nThe Evidence Co
 llection Technician (ECT) program is designed to verify an applicant's fun
 damental knowledge and practical skills in evidence collection at fire sce
 nes. The evaluation is based on established professional qualification sta
 ndards and industry best practices. This program provides the foundation f
 or assessing an individual's competency in performing specific evidence co
 llection tasks in accordance with accepted practices.<br />\n<br />\nAppli
 cants must meet eligibility requirements in experience\, education\, and t
 raining\, and successfully complete a comprehensive practical examination.

 \nTotal Hours Must Reach a Minimum of 29 Hours.<br />\nNote: Completion of
  these modules is a prerequisite. Course and exam content will reference a
 ll listed materials.<br />\n<br />\nComprehensive Practical Examination<br
  />\n- Examination Duration: 4 Hours<br />\n- Structure: 10 practical comp
 onents<br />\n- Passing Requirements:<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; All critical 
 elements must be passed<br />\n&nbsp\; &bull\; Minimum 70% score required 
 on each component<br />\n<br />\nCertification &amp\; Renewal<br />\nSucce
 ssful candidates will be awarded ECT certification.<br />\nRenewal is requ
 ired every five years.<br />\n<br />\nApplication &amp\; Registration<br /
 >\n<br />\nApplicants for this professional designation shall submit refer
 ence letters from their employers confirming an understanding of core job 
 performance requirements (JPRs) outlined in established professional quali
 fications standards and standard industry practices related to evidence co
 llection demonstrated at fire scenes in the preceding 18 months.<br />\n<b

 on and Refund Policy</span></strong></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellatio
 ns received 31 days or more prior to the course start date are eligible fo
 r a full refund of the registration fee.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">
 Cancellations received within 30 days of the course start date are non-ref
 undable.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Registrants who are unable to at
 tend may\, at the discretion of the International Association of Arson Inv
 estigators (IAAI)\, substitute another eligible individual from the same o
 rganization\, provided written notice is received prior to the course star
 t date.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Failure to attend a course withou
 t prior written cancellation (no-shows) will not be eligible for a refund.
 </span></p>\n<strong><br />\n</strong>\n<p><strong>All IAAI courses are su
 bject to cancellation or postponement at any time due to unforeseen circum
 stances. Registered participants will be notified as soon as possible.</st
