 Overview<br />\n<br />\nThe Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) program i
 s designed to verify an applicant's fundamental knowledge and practical sk
 ills in evidence collection at fire scenes. The evaluation is based on est
 ablished professional qualification standards and industry best practices.
  This program provides the foundation for assessing an individual's compet
 ency in performing specific evidence collection tasks in accordance with a
 ccepted practices.<br />\n<br />\nApplicants must meet eligibility require
 ments in experience\, education\, and training\, and successfully complete
  a comprehensive practical examination.<br />\nProgram Requirements</p>\n<

 of 29 Hours.<br />\nNote: Completion of these modules is a prerequisite. C
 ourse and exam content will reference all listed materials.<br />\n<br />\
 nComprehensive Practical Examination<br />\n- Examination Duration: 4 Hour

 p\; &bull\; Minimum 70% score required on each component<br />\n<br />\nCe
 rtification &amp\; Renewal<br />\nSuccessful candidates will be awarded EC
 T certification.<br />\nRenewal is required every five years.<br />\n<br /
 >\nApplication &amp\; Registration<br />\n<br />\nApplicants for this prof
 essional designation shall submit reference letters from their employers c
 onfirming an understanding of core job performance requirements (JPRs) out
 lined in established professional qualifications standards and standard in
 dustry practices related to evidence collection demonstrated at fire scene
 s in the preceding 18 months.<br />\n<br />\nRegistration Fee:<br />\n- IA
 AI Members: $200<br />\n- Non-Members: $200</p>\n<p style="font-weight: bo
 ld\;"><span class="cf0">Cancellation and Refund Policy</span></p>\n<p><spa
 n class="cf1">Cancellations received 31 days or more prior to the course s
 tart date are eligible for a full refund of the registration fee.</span></
 p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Cancellations received within 30 days of the cour
 se start date are non-refundable.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Registr
 ants who are unable to attend may\, at the discretion of the International
  Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)\, substitute another eligible i
 ndividual from the same organization\, provided written notice is received
  prior to the course start date.</span></p>\n<p><span class="cf1">Failure 
 to attend a course without prior written cancellation (no-shows) will not 
 be eligible for a refund.</span></p>\n<p><strong>\n</strong></p>\n<p><stro
 ng>All IAAI courses are subject to cancellation or postponement at any tim
 e due to unforeseen circumstances. Registered participants will be notifie
 d as soon as possible.</strong><br />\n<br />\n<strong><span class="cf0">N
