 br />\n<br />\nThe S.C. Chapter of the International Association of Arson 
 Investigators (SCIAAI) is proud to announce the 2020 vehicle fire training
  seminar. The program topics include NFPA 921\, 2017 Edition\, Chapter 27\
 , and the approach for investigating vehicle fires. The instructors\, will
  be IAAI President\, Barry M. Grimm\, and IAAI Board of Directors Member\,
  Joseph S. Herzberg. This course is designed to benefit the beginner and s
 easoned investigators from start to finish. The seminar will cover 16 hour
 s of training related to basic information\, procedures\, and will add stu
 dents with the skills of being able to conduct complete and accurate exami
 nation of motor vehicle fires. This course will cover 16 hours of knowledg
 e needed to towards the IAAI vehicle endorsement.<br />\n<br />\nInformati
 on gained from this course will be related to NFPA 1033 and NFPA 921. In a
 ddition\, participants will increase their knowledge of researching the hi
 story of vehicles\, current and passed recalls\, and types of systems with
 in the modern-day vehicles. Students will also learn how social media can 
 affect their investigations and how this information should be considered 
 as part of their investigations. <br />\n<br />\nThis will be a hands-on c
 lass with live burns. Everyone\, must have their safety equipment to inclu
 de: gloves\, boots\, eye protection\, and respirators minimum of a M95 res
 pirator.<br />\n<br />\nDuring the lecture portion of this course\, studen
 ts along with the instructors will discuss actual cases studies related to
  current types of vehicles\, manufacturing styles\, and how the mechanics 
 of the vehicles affect fire dynamics. <br />\n<br />\nThis training is sch
 eduled for a minimum of 16 contact hours. Testing options will be discusse
 d at the training event. Member attendance fee is $55 and non-member atten
 dance fee is $100. <br />\n<br />\nLunch is on your own. <br />\n<br />\nP
