re and arson scenes. Participants will gain knowledge of proper techniques
\, tools\, and protocols that ensure evidence is collected systematically
and maintained in a manner that upholds its integrity and reliability thro
ughout the investigative process. \;

ion of lecture and practical discussion\, students will explore common typ
es of physical evidence encountered during fire investigations\, learn str
ategies to minimize contamination or loss\, and understand documentation p
ractices that support continuity and accuracy in casework. Emphasis is pla
ced on reinforcing professional standards that can be applied across a var
iety of investigative environments. \;

fessionals who may be responsible for handling evidence in the field. It i
s also an excellent preparatory step for those intending to pursue the IAA
