\nBusinesses are driven by effective policy
management. Policies establish the framework by which the organization ope
rates. When effective policies are in place\, an organization can then imp
lement services\, processes\, and associated procedures to ensure that the
y run successfully. Managers are in an essential position concerning polic
y management as they often work between the strategic high-level and long-
term objectives and the operational processes that maintain shorter-term g
oals and day-to-day activities.
\n
\nThis session is a part of
a management series of live webinars being offered in 2023. In this sessi
on geared toward payment function managers\, NEACH will explore the topic
of policy management by exploring the role a manager plays in payment-rela
ted policies. Managers should implement policies that effectively represen
t the organization's strategic objectives\, align risk management practice
s to the organization's enterprise risk management program\, and provide p
ractical guidelines by which products\, processes\, and procedures can be
established. Specifically\, this session will explore the purpose of polic
ies\, discuss what makes up an effective policy\, dive into the best pract
ices for maintaining and overseeing policies\, and demonstrate how to deve
lop a sample ACH policy that provides the framework for managers to go bac
k to their organization and manage policies under their purview.
