Event Description
\nThe past
couple years have presented unprecedented challenges in almost every aspec
t of society\, but they have also provided an opportunity for our field to
shine as our respective institutions have had to alter operations and mee
t student needs in non-traditional ways. \; Who better than profession
al\, continuing\, and online education units to rise to the occasion and s
hare our expertise in meeting learner and institutional needs in innovativ
e and flexible ways?
As we move forward\, we are strong er and more agile than ever to meet the ever-changing needs of our student s. \; Our institutions are already responding to the shifting demands of today&rsquo\;s learner\, by offering new programs that target learning and earn credentials in more flexible formats. We must also focus on devel oping partnerships with business and industry to understand their workforc e educational needs and to identify the potential programs to best prepare employees for growth and success.
\nIn this upcoming yea r\, we will continue the discussion from this year&rsquo\;s fantastic annu al conference regarding alternative credentials and diversity\, equity and inclusion in higher education as well as supporting the evolving needs of today&rsquo\;s learner.

\nRefunds
\nAll registration cancellation and refund requests must be made i
n writing. \; Full refunds will be granted for cancellations received
by August 31\, 2022. \; A refund of the conference fee\, minus a $75 a
dministrative fee\, will be given for cancellations received between Septe
mber 1 &ndash\; 28\, 2022. \; No refunds or credits will be granted fo
r cancellations after September 28\, 2022.

\nRegistrants of the 2022 UPCEA New England Region Confere
nce agree to allow UPCEA and its official photographer to photograph them
in the context of the conference. Footage captured by the official photogr
apher may be used in future print and electronic promotional and archival

\nThe association has gone
to great lengths and expense to negotiate and contract for a reduced room
rate at conference hotels. \;That rate is based upon the projected att
endance at the meeting. \;If corporate member and nonmember attendees
elect to stay at other hotels\, it subjects the association to attrition p
enalties that can cause significant financial loss to the association.&nbs
p\;We count on our corporate community to support the association\, and on
e of the ways to do that is to honor our efforts to secure a sufficiently
large room block at a reduced rate at a first class hotel/conference venue
. \; \;
For these reasons\, corporate member and nonmembe r attendees are prohibited from holding any meetings (briefings\, seminars \, etc.) within a 25-mile radius\, targeting professional\, continuing\, a nd online leaders in higher education during the scheduled hours of UPCEA events unless otherwise negotiated and scheduled with and by UPCEA. Any su ch meeting occurring within 36 hours before or after the UPCEA conference must be coordinated with UPCEA and\, space permitting\, be held at the con ference hotel. \; This policy helps ensure that the association&rsquo\ ;s contracted obligations to the hotel for guest rooms and food and bevera ge minimums are met\, which is essential for the financial health of the a ssociation and its members. If UPCEA cannot find space for the corporate m ember or nonmember attendee&rsquo\;s event at the contracted hotel\, we wi ll work to help find alternative space. \; In no circumstances\, howev er\, is it permissible for a corporate member or nonmember attendee to con tract a separate hotel block\, either at the conference hotel or elsewhere . \;
\nUPCEA reserves the right to prohibit corporate member an d nonmember attendees \;who violate this policy from exhibiting or pa rticipating at UPCEA events.
