 style="font-size: 13px\;">Emerging Leaders are UPCEA members who are mid-l
 evel professionals who aspire to more senior roles in professional\, conti
 nuing\, and/or online (PCO) higher education. And the upcoming UPCEA Confe
 rence is ripe with opportunities to provide Emerging Leaders with avenues 
 in which to develop professionally\, engage actively in UPCEA\, and to suc
 cessfully navigate the event itself.</span></p>\n<p><span style="font-size
 : 13px\;"> </span></p>\n<p><span style="font-size: 13px\;">Beginning with 
 a pre-conference\, participants take part in a deep dive into leadership s
 kill development. Within the conference\, participants are invited to atte
 nd sessions tagged &ldquo\;Emerging Leaders\,&rdquo\; which means that the
 y are designed to offer skill development in areas critical for senior lea
 dership like strategic planning\, innovation\, and leading teams. There wi
 ll also be special opportunities allowing ample time to network with peers
  and senior leaders. At the end of the event a facilitated capstone sessio
 n will provide an opportunity to reflect upon the experience\, make plans 
 to continue the journey\, and to take the next steps to earn a badge that 
 recognizes these achievements. </span></p>\n<p><span style="font-family: a

 ><br />\nRegistrants of the UPCEA Emerging Leader Regional Program at the 
 2019 South Region Conference agree to allow UPCEA and its official photogr
 apher to photograph them in the context of the conference. Footage capture
 d by the official photographer may be used in future print and electronic

  sans-serif\;"><strong>Affiliated Events Policy<em><br />\n</em></strong>T
 he association has gone to great lengths and expense to negotiate and cont
 ract for a reduced room rate at conference hotels.&nbsp\;That rate is base
 d upon the projected attendance at the meeting.&nbsp\;If corporate member 
 and nonmember attendees elect to stay at other hotels\, it subjects the as
 sociation to attrition penalties that can cause significant financial loss
  to the association.&nbsp\;We count on our corporate community to support 
 the association\, and one of the ways to do that is to honor our efforts t
 o secure a sufficiently large room block at a reduced rate at a first clas
 s hotel/conference venue. &nbsp\;&nbsp\; <br />\n</span></p>\n<p>For these
  reasons\, corporate member and nonmember attendees are prohibited from ho
 lding any meetings (briefings\, seminars\, etc.) within a 25-mile radius\,
  targeting professional\, continuing\, and online leaders in higher educat
 ion during the scheduled hours of UPCEA events unless otherwise negotiated
  and scheduled with and by UPCEA. Any such meeting occurring within 36 hou
 rs before or after the UPCEA conference must be coordinated with UPCEA and
 \, space permitting\, be held at the conference hotel.&nbsp\; This policy 
 helps ensure that the association&rsquo\;s contracted obligations to the h
 otel for guest rooms and food and beverage minimums are met\, which is ess
 ential for the financial health of the association and its members. If UPC
 EA cannot find space for the corporate member or nonmember attendee&rsquo\
 ;s event at the contracted hotel\, we will work to help find alternative s
 pace.&nbsp\; In no circumstances\, however\, is it permissible for a corpo
 rate member or nonmember attendee to contract a separate hotel block\, eit
 her at the conference hotel or elsewhere.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>UPCEA r
 eserves the right to prohibit corporate member and nonmember attendees &nb
 sp\;who violate this policy from exhibiting or participating at UPCEA even
