 </strong></span></p>\n<p><span style="font-size: 13px\;">Emerging Leaders 
 are UPCEA members who are mid-level professionals who aspire to more senio
 r roles in professional\, continuing\, and/or online (PCO) higher educatio
 n. And the upcoming UPCEA Conference is ripe with opportunities to provide
  Emerging Leaders with avenues in which to develop professionally\, engage
  actively in UPCEA\, and to successfully navigate the event itself.</span>
 </p>\n<p><span style="font-size: 13px\;"> </span></p>\n<p><span style="fon
 t-size: 13px\;">Beginning with a pre-conference\, participants take part i
 n a deep dive into leadership skill development. Within the conference\, p
 articipants are invited to attend sessions tagged &ldquo\;Emerging Leaders
 \,&rdquo\; which means that they are designed to offer skill development i
 n areas critical for senior leadership like strategic planning\, innovatio
 n\, and leading teams. There will also be special opportunities allowing a
 mple time to network with peers and senior leaders. At the end of the even
 t a facilitated capstone session will provide an opportunity to reflect up
 on the experience\, make plans to continue the journey\, and to take the n
 ext steps to earn a badge that recognizes these achievements. </span></p>\

 onference Photo Policy</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt\; font-
 family: arial\, sans-serif\;"><br />\nRegistrants of the UPCEA Emerging Le
 ader Regional Program at the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Region Conference agree to 
 allow UPCEA and its official photographer to photograph them in the contex
 t of the conference. Footage captured by the official photographer may be 
 used in future print and electronic promotional and archival materials. Fo

 nt-size: 10pt\; font-family: arial\, sans-serif\;"><strong>Affiliated Even
 ts Policy<em><br />\n</em></strong>The association has gone to great lengt
 hs and expense to negotiate and contract for a reduced room rate at confer
 ence hotels.&nbsp\;That rate is based upon the projected attendance at the
  meeting.&nbsp\;If corporate member and nonmember attendees elect to stay 
 at other hotels\, it subjects the association to attrition penalties that 
 can cause significant financial loss to the association.&nbsp\;We count on
  our corporate community to support the association\, and one of the ways 
 to do that is to honor our efforts to secure a sufficiently large room blo
 ck at a reduced rate at a first class hotel/conference venue. &nbsp\;&nbsp
 \; <br />\n</span></p>\n<p>For these reasons\, corporate member and nonmem
 ber attendees are prohibited from holding any meetings (briefings\, semina
 rs\, etc.) within a 25-mile radius\, targeting professional\, continuing\,
  and online leaders in higher education during the scheduled hours of UPCE
 A events unless otherwise negotiated and scheduled with and by UPCEA. Any 
 such meeting occurring within 36 hours before or after the UPCEA conferenc
 e must be coordinated with UPCEA and\, space permitting\, be held at the c
 onference hotel.&nbsp\; This policy helps ensure that the association&rsqu
 o\;s contracted obligations to the hotel for guest rooms and food and beve
 rage minimums are met\, which is essential for the financial health of the
  association and its members. If UPCEA cannot find space for the corporate
  member or nonmember attendee&rsquo\;s event at the contracted hotel\, we 
 will work to help find alternative space.&nbsp\; In no circumstances\, how
 ever\, is it permissible for a corporate member or nonmember attendee to c
 ontract a separate hotel block\, either at the conference hotel or elsewhe
 re.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>UPCEA reserves the right to prohibit corporat
 e member and nonmember attendees &nbsp\;who violate this policy from exhib
